Løvstakken is a friendly mountain for hiking, south-west of Bergen town centre. The mountain is easily accessible by foot from the town centre, but if you don’t have a lot of time, you could spare 30 minutes by going to Danmarks Plass by Bybanen light rail.
From there, the walk/hike to the mountain top at 477 meters takes some 90 minutes. Remember footwear and clothing suitable for light hiking, and you shall be rewarded with a nice hike, and beautiful views of the centre as well as other parts of the town and the fjords surrounding it.
An alternative to hiking to the mountain top, is walking the Løvstien—the northern path in the map. This is a pedestrian road along the mountain side. In some years, the road is planned to go all the way south to Fjøsanger, but for now it only reaches some hundre meters south from where you meet it, when you walk from Danmarks plass.
